This elephant & I gave each other a scare. Wanting a better angle for a picture, I jumped up on a low wall near the river. He was startled by my abrupt action. He bellowed and sprang back and stomped and splashed and made a tremendous commotion. It was pretty scary. However, the lure of the succulent grass soon overcame his annoyance and he returned to grazing placidly along the river. Needless to say I was as startled as he was and grateful that he didn’t charge at me!
